 Yesterday was a very good day - got the music all sorted out for the month of September, got all the special music arranged through the end of the year, caught up with my emails, talked with my mother, finished all the laundry (in one day - amazing!), straightened up my office, finished the flyers and advertising posters for our mentor training seminar.  At least I was able to get tons done yesterday, because today I got pretty much NOTHING done.  Ladybug was home from school today.  We had made an appointment with the doctor about a week ago for her to go in and get her tetanus booster, but yesterday she woke up terribly congested, sore throat, etc.  So, the doctor's appointment was a good thing - though no shot, needless to say.  She was happy about that at least.  When we got there her fever was close to 102*.  They've put her on antibiotics that will hopefully kill this thing before school on Monday.  Apparently there's some sort of thing going around, both upper respiratory and a stomach bug.  Excitement!  Don't you love the beginning of the school year?!  I'm thankful my kids are at least out of elementary school; it was much worse then.  So, I guess I'll be cleaning on Monday : ) - sanitizing, really.

Ladybug was feeling so punky, she just wanted to veg on the couch.  So, we watched Return of the King.  At least my daughter has pretty good taste in movies.

Something else really cool happened yesterday - we got a card in the mail from the Phoenix Zoo.  Apparently, our vet made a donation to the zoo in memory of Rocket.  Made me cry again, but I thought that was very sweet.  Still missing that shaggy dog!! 

Dinner tonight:  teriyaki pork loin, vegetable fried rice, roasted broccoli.  Easy for me, savory for Ladybug, and filling for the boys.  If I don't burn anything, everyone should be happy.

What a sweet jesture from your vet. It's hard losing a long-time member of the family.

If AZ were closer, I'd be heading to your house for dinner :-) You'll have to give the recipe for your teriyaki pork loin!

LOL! I wish I could say I had some magnificent recipe for the pork, but alas it was a pre-marinated loin. It was REALLY good, too. I grilled in instead of roasting and it came out very tender on the inside and was caramelized nicely on the outside. The fried rice was my own recipe, and the roasted broccoli was good, too.... If AZ were closer, as you said, you'd have been invited to dinner : )

That would be wonderful! I'm having a hard time with dinner these days. The two kids make it difficult for me to get things cooked and on the table. Last week, Big Joker ended up finishing cooking dinner when he got home several times!
